FAUN at Europe’s largest open-air exhibition, stand E-508

Eisenach. From 11th to 13th June 2017, the FAUN Group will be presenting two vehicles for use in urban areas at Europe’s largest open-air exhibition in the green sector. On the occasion of the DEMOPARK in Eisenach, FAUN is exhibiting the VIAJET 4 sweeper and the CITY 2000 waste collection vehicle, which are suitable for smaller local authorities and service providers.

With the VIAJET 4, trade visitors can see a compact sweeper on a standard chassis in action. Thanks to its short wheelbase and small dimensions, the 4 m³ superstructure sweeper delivers superb results in narrow streets and alleyways.

With speeds of up to 90 km/hr this small city speedster can reach any operating site very quickly. Its 800 l clean water tank capacity makes it possible to undertake longer sweeping applications. The space-saving built-in controls leave plenty of space for the operator. The small light sweeping machine also avoids causing environmentally harmful emissions. The high-performance FAUN air circulation system provides improved suction and a low-dust sweeping performance with the lowest emission values. 70% of the air that is sucked in remains within the machine’s circuit and only 30% is discharged back out into the environment. When the hopper is full, the dirt is tipped into containers with the help of the skip. It is possible to carry out raised emptying at heights of up to 1.5 metres.

The vehicles of the CITY range are new in FAUN’s product portfolio. The light-weight aluminium superstructures are available in different sizes with loading volumes ranging from 450 kg to 3000 kg. The vehicles work with an adjustable compaction system, consisting of an aluminium packing plate and carrier plate which provides optimised compaction and a high load capacity. Built on a 7.5 t chassis and only 1980 mm wide, the CITY 2000 is fast and manoeuvrable and therefore ideal for narrow streets and urban

applications. Dirt can be emptied into a larger refuse collection vehicle using the raised tipper function. FAUN Director Burkard Oppmann sees the DEMOPARK as an ideal platform for presenting the new CITY vehicles and for getting feedback from customers.

The FAUN Group is a part of the KIRCHHOFF Group, which is active all over the world. In 2016, the corporate group achieved a turnover of nearly 2 billion euros with its business segments Automotive, Ecotec, Mobility and WITTE Tools. The KIRCHHOFF Group currently employs approximately 11,500 people in 51 plants across 18 countries.
