With the VIAJET 8 and VIAJET 12, FAUN is exhibiting two sweepers intended for tough applications on construction sites.
FAUN - VIAJET 12 sweepers for use on construction sites
Grimma. From 11th to 17th April 2016, the FAUN Group will be presenting two of its POWER class sweepers at the BAUMA Trade Fair in Munich. Both vehicles were specially designed for construction site operations. FAUN developed the VIAJET 12 for cleaning applications that require large quantities of water, high load capacity and improved performance. The machine on display in Munich is mounted on a 3-axle chassis made by Volvo and will be put into operation with a Swiss customer. The containers include a system volume of 12 m³ and the standard water tank contains 4,700 litres. The container was increased by 200 mm and adapted to fit the high-roof cab. The vehicle therefore offers more payload capacity and the driver sits in a clear, comfortable cab. The VIAJET 12 has a huge suction fan with an airflow of 32,000 m³ / hour, making it possible to use all sweeping systems at the same time for special applications. The Hydrostatic system HS 3000 provides improved driver comfort and can be combined with an automatic gear box. The machine's special feature is the SC250U surface cleaning system developed by FAUN. The in-built high-pressure HYDROJET system can be raised independently from the suction inlet and will therefore avoid causing damage while cleaning. This vehicle will be exhibited alongside a FLATJET nozzle bar. Both high-pressure cleaning systems will be supplied with water through a 300 bar high-pressure water pump. As with the VIAJET 8, the VIAJET 12 cleaning system can reach out from the vehicle cable, left and right, to up to 150 mm, in order to keep the tyre side-walls away from the milling edge. The FAUN Group employs 1,000 people in Europe and generated sales of 275 million euros in 2015.
