Berlin, 15.06.2021 BSR is taking a big step towards climate protection: as of now, two hydrogen fuel cell vehicles are being used for waste collection in Berlin. Federal Minister of Transport Andreas Scheuer: "Hydrogen, fuel cells and electricity are moving the future. We need this now in real terms on the road. Today we are funding 14 clean and quiet waste collection vehicles powered by fuel cells out of a total of 170 approved electric vehicles of the BSR with 4.5 million euros. We are subsidising these with 23.7 million euros and thus relieving thousands of Berliners from noise and exhaust fumes!"
