FAUN takes over PB Environnement

The FAUN Group takes over the French manufacturer Provence Bennes (PB) Environnement into its group of companies and strengthens its market position.

Osterholz-Scharmbeck/Valence. At the end of July, the globally active FAUN Group took over the French manufacturer PB Environnement from Lambesc, southern France. With the purchase, FAUN is expanding its product portfolio to include small, lightweight waste disposal vehicles with aluminium bodies as well as compact road washing vehicles. With this step, the body manufacturer strengthens its market position and expands its international service network.

The purchase was made by FAUN's wholly owned subsidiary FAUN Environnement, based in Guilhérand-Granges, France. With 300 employees and 55 million euros in sales in 2015, it is the second largest production plant in the FAUN Group. Founded in 1922 under the name Granges SA, the company now employs 350 people and has a turnover of 65 million euros. Etienne Blaise, Managing Director of FAUN Environnement, on the acquisition: "I am delighted that the shareholders of PB Environnement have decided to entrust the future of their company to FAUN. The purchase enables FAUN to add high-quality vehicles to its product range and to exploit synergies. Both companies are firmly anchored locally and have a very good reputation in their home markets. Therefore, the company name PB Environnement will remain in the future."

The FAUN Group is a company of the internationally active KIRCHHOFF Group, which employs around 10,500 people in 49 plants in 17 countries.
