With the Safety & Performance System (SPS) , FAUN is presenting a holistic approach to enhancing safety, efficiency and comfort in municipal waste management at IFAT 2026. As an integral part of the Future Truck 2.0 , the system demonstrates how vehicle technology, driver assistance systems and artificial intelligence merge to form a smart, integrated unit.
Fires in refuse collection vehicles are among the greatest risks in waste collection, particularly due to the increasing proportion of lithium-ion batteries in waste. At IFAT 2026, FAUN will therefore be presenting an intelligent, multi-stage fire protection system that addresses the very issues where traditional solutions fall short: early detection and automatic response.
With the FAUN AI Cube, FAUN is bringing artificial intelligence directly into the day-to-day operations of waste logistics. Under the motto “The AI Cube thinks for itself”, FAUN will be presenting a central assistance platform at IFAT 2026, taking place from 4 to 7 May 2026, which not only analyses but also actively intervenes in processes.
