Sustainability at FAUN means more than environmental protection
As a leading manufacturer of municipal vehicles, we have a responsibility to ensure clean cities, to look after the people who live there, and to protect the world we leave behind. For us, sustainability is not an obligation, but a way of thinking.
What is collected today will be built into tomorrow’s vehicles. With the re.New VARIOPRESS, this becomes reality: a body that not only transports waste, but is itself part of the circular economy.
Initiated by TSR, a subsidiary of REMONDIS, and realised by FAUN, Daimler Truck and 30 other partners – secondary raw materials are turned into a product with a future. Materials stay in circulation: according to TÜV SÜD (ISO 14021), the recycled content of the prototype is 39%, and up to 88% on an extrapolated basis.
At IFAT 2022, we won first place in the IFAT Sustainability Award – GOLD! Since then, we have been delighted to be working towards becoming even more sustainable with every event we attend. That’s why we’re thrilled to be a confirmed GoGreen Exhibitor at this year’s IFAT as well – HURRAH!
Sustainability
The future viability of our business activities is important to us, especially with regard to future generations. Sustainable management has always been one of our core values and for us means harmonising the three dimensions of economy, ecology and social responsibility.
Life is buzzing at FAUN – quite literally. Since spring 2025, we have been home to our own bee colonies on our company premises, making an active contribution to protecting biodiversity. A small project – looked after by people who really want to do it.
